This first step in the long road in planning your perfect wedding day is organising the wedding venue. Make a shortlist of venues you like the look of, contact them and ask to make appointments for a visit – we recommend you arrange these visits on the same day if possible, therefore if you find more then one wedding venue you like the 1st you saw is still fresh in your memory.

A good wedding venue will have a dedicated person to talk you through how they operate, and if you have special requirements that you want, the best wedding venues will answer “yes” to all your questions.

If you’re planning your ceremony at the same wedding venue as your evening entertainment, ensure your wedding guests are catered for throughout the day, you want to avoid a period off time where nothing is happening and your wedding guests get bored.

Once you think you’ve found the perfect wedding venue, why not take your parents along to get their opinion too. Then when 101% happy with your choice pay the venue a deposit and get a receipt to confirm your booking.

Then, when your next well-wisher congratulates you on your engagement, and asks when and where you’re getting married, you can reply with a happy big smile and anticipate the excitement of your lovely wedding venue on your big day !
